Weekly homework
Your child should be reading for 20 minutes every night. Sometimes your child will be assigned reading, but most of the time they will be able to read any book they choose. Reading from the Science or Social Studies Text also counts as for nightly reading and should be logged on the reading logs. Make sure your child fills out their reading log nightly.
Your child should also be practicing their addition and subtraction facts nightly for 10 minutes. Students may get a homework sheet in addition to practicing their facts. When no formal homework is assigned, your child is encouraged to work on iXL using the Unit Overview sent home at the beginning of a new unit.
